Single trip ticket
A single trip ticket is the most expensive ticket. If you want to buy a ticket with a discount option, choose Rejsekort as an app or a day ticket
It is also possible to buy a ticket in Midttrafik app or Midttrafik webshop. Tickets from the webshop can either be printed out or displayed on your smartphone.
In many buses, you can buy a single trip ticket in cash (only DKK - Euro is not accepted) from the driver. It will be a big help if you have even money. The driver can usually give back on notes. If the driver has exceptionally run out of change, you will be asked to buy tickets in another way - e.g. in the app RejseBillet. It is not permitted to travel without a ticket.
In Aarhus city buses you cannot buy a ticket with cash on the bus. Therefore, it is important that you have a valid ticket when you board the bus, otherwise you risk having to pay an inspection fee.
You can purchase single trip tickets using the Rejsekort ticket machine (the large ticket machine) located on Letbanen platforms*. It is only possible to pay by credit/debit card – not with cash. The machines accept the following payment cards: Dankort/Visa Dankort, Visa/Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro and JCB.
It is not possible to purchase tickets on board the Letbanen trains. Therefore, it is important that you have a valid ticket when you board Letbanen, otherwise you risk having to pay an inspection fee.
*At Stockholmsgade, there is only a Rejsekort ticket machine on the platform for trains heading into Aarhus.
A single trip ticket for a journey by bus, Letbanen or Midtjyske Jernbaner costs the price of a bus ticket. The ticket cannot be used on DSB or GoCollective trains.
A single trip ticket for a journey by train costs the price of a train ticket, and must be purchased from DSB or GoCollective. You can use the train ticket when travelling by bus, Letbanen and Midtjyske Jernbaner within the ticket’s validity area.
