Service level

Flextur, plustur and flexbus are public transport services, which means that it is not possible to provide additional services to people who are, for example, senile, blind or walking-impaired.

If you or your spouse etc. require extra service, contact your municipality and hear whether you or your spouse etc. can be referred for one of the municipality’s transport options which offers a higher level of service.

You will be driven by taxi, a van with a wheelchair lift or by car.

You can take:

  • Flextur trips from 6:00 to 24:00, except on 24 and 31 December, or when a trip is displayed on Rejseplanen
  • Plustur, when a trip is displayed on Rejseplanen
  • Flexbus, when a trip is shown in the timetable or displayed on Rejseplanen

Flextur (dial-a-ride trips)

Flextur is a shared transport scheme. This means that you may find yourself sharing a car with other people who need to be collected or dropped off during the trip. It also means that the trip may be longer (and take up to twice as long*) than if you were travelling directly from A to B. However, you only ever have to pay for travelling the direct route.

* Short trips of less than 20 minutes will, however, take max. 20 minutes.

You will be collected from and driven to the kerb (or where an ordinary taxi would stop) at the address for which the trip has been booked. If you have difficulty walking, the driver will be happy to help you get into and out of the car and with securing any mobility aids etc., but you must be able to get to and from the car yourself without the driver’s assistance.

If your journey is to islands which are served by public transport (Fur and Venø), you will remain seated in the car and the municipality will pay the ferry charge.

If your journey is to islands which are not served by public transport (Tunø, Endelave, Anholt and Hjarnø), you will be driven to the ferry, from where you must organise your onward journey yourself.

Plustur (dial-a-ride service)

Plustur is a shared transport scheme. This means that you may find yourself sharing a car with other people who need to be collected or dropped off during the trip. It also means that the trip may take longer than if you were travelling directly from A to B. However, you only ever have to pay for travelling the direct route.

You will be collected from and driven to the kerb (or where an ordinary taxi would stop) at the address/stop for which the trip has been booked. If you have difficulty walking, the driver will be happy to help you get into and out of the car and with securing any mobility aids etc., but you must be able to get to and from the car yourself without the driver’s assistance.

Flexbus (dial-a-ride bus)

Flexbus is a shared transport scheme. This means that you may find yourself sharing a car with other people who need to be collected or dropped off during the trip. It also means that flexbus does not follow the bus route, and that the trip may take longer than travelling directly from A to B.

Flexbus carries passengers from one stop to another. If you have difficulty walking, the driver will be happy to help you get into and out of the car and with securing any mobility aids etc., but you must be able to get to and from the car yourself without the driver’s assistance.
